Three individuals have been taken into custody following a collision involving a car and a group of cyclists, which resulted in the deaths of two riders. According to Kent Police, the incident occurred just before 07:50 BST on Sunday on Sole Street in Cobham, near Gravesend, when a white Ford Focus struck three cyclists.
Emergency services confirmed that two cyclists—a man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s—died at the scene. Their families have been notified of the tragic outcome. A third cyclist was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities have arrested two men, aged 20 and 21, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Additionally, a 19-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. In the aftermath, the road was closed to enable a thorough investigation.
