Elkka, the British DJ, has released her first full-length record titled “Prism of Pleasure”. The record is an exploration of intimacy, queer pleasure, and authenticity. To create this unique record, Elkka and sex expert Oli Lipsky delved deep into sensuality and sensuousness, crafting a beautiful and compelling album.

Elkka, who was not taught about queer pleasure, found solace in London’s queer club scene, where she collided with LGBTQ+ bodies, learning from and connecting with them. Infused with the connective tissue of house music culture, “Prism of Pleasure” offers an intimate exploration of the intensity of fleeting, overnight infatuation and pleasing experimentation.

The album offers a playful yet personal journey into sensuality. It features the sizzling “I Just Want To Love You,” an experimental alt-pop Dot Major collaboration called “Air Tight,” and the simmering “Passionfruit” featuring John Carroll Kirby. ‘Make Me’, “Your Skin,” and other tracks in the album offer a heady catharsis that conjures images of sloshing beers and festival flings.

The record, which was released on the 7th of June under Ninja Tune, reveals Elkka’s journey to date, and offers a tantalizing peek into her experience of learning to embrace queer pleasure and authenticity. “Prism of Pleasure” is an absorbing endeavour that explores, in its myriad forms, the timeless concept of intimacy
