Former X Factor singer Gabrielle Carrington given lawyer deadline

A former contestant on the X Factor is facing accusations of murdering a woman by running her over in central London. The individual has been granted a week-long deadline to decide who will act as her legal representative during the upcoming trial.

The accused, 29-year-old Gabrielle Carrington, denies the charge of causing the death of 32-year-old Klaudia Zakrzewska. The incident took place outside the Inca nightclub in Soho on April 19th, with Zakrzewska succumbing to her injuries six days following the event.

Reports suggest that a woman entered a vehicle, which then abruptly moved forward, striking Zakrzewska. The circumstances of the incident remain under judicial scrutiny.

Carrington, who hails from Manchester, appeared at the Old Bailey. During the hearing, she expressed that representing herself would be “crazy” and assured the court that she would finalize her choice of legal counsel by August 17th. On this occasion, no barrister stood in for her during the proceedings
