In Gospel Oak, located in north London, a distinctive pair of pale-pink residences called The Cloud House has recently been finished. These semi-detached properties are notable for their elegant curved arches and accents of duck-egg blue metalwork that enhance their visual appeal.
The design and development of these homes were the result of about ten years of work by architect Peter Morris. Although the two houses share the same exterior aesthetic, each one is owned individually. Both properties were constructed by the same architect and contractor following a mutually agreed-upon exterior design.
Peter Morris revealed that the architectural style of the homes drew inspiration from the nearby St Martin’s Church, as well as from the Art Deco movement prominent in Miami. This unique blend of influences has given The Cloud House its distinctive character.
The project gained additional attention after being featured on Channel 4’s Grand Designs, showcasing the innovative approach taken to create these unique dwellings within a traditional London neighborhood
