Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Bristol-based festival Simple Things has announced its first acts for the February 2024 edition. The festival is back after a four-year hiatus and is expanding from one day to a week’s worth of programming. However, the central day of the festival on February 24 still remains, with additional programming around that date. One of the highlights is the closing concert by Fever Ray on February 29.
All venues for the festival are located in Bristol’s city centre, with venues like Bristol Beacon, Rough Trade, Strange Brew, SWX, and Sportsmans hosting day activities, while nighttime shows will be held at Lakota & Coroners Court, Strange Brew, and The Love Inn. Each venue is located within a 10-minute walk from the others.
The day programming features a strong showing of live electronic music, incorporating acts like Evian Christ, Paranoid London, and Gazelle Twin. Returning Bristolian Julio Bashmore is headlining the night programming, aided by Saoirse. Wisdom Teeth has hosted another dancefloor, featuring Nick León, DJ Python, Yushh, Facta, and K-Lone. Mix Nights and Love International, meanwhile, have taken over the Coroners Courtroom for an all-female and non-binary performance featuring Josey Rebelle, Orpheu the Wizard, and Daisy Moon b2b Danielle.
Additional artists on the lineup include Flowdan, Wu-Lu, Warmduscher, Les Savy Fav, Giant Swan, and Honey Glaze. Tickets for Simple Things festival will be available for purchase starting September 29
