Tommy Robinson says he was stopped at Heathrow by police

Tommy Robinson, a known far-right activist, reported that he was detained at Heathrow Airport under counter terrorism legislation on Saturday evening, during which his phones were confiscated. This incident took place upon his return to the UK from a journey that included Russia and Turkey.

According to a spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police, the individual, in his 40s, was stopped around 17:00 GMT under the Counter Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019. Officers interviewed the man and took possession of his communication devices. After this interaction, he was released.

Earlier in the week, Robinson, who is 43 years old, shared a video on the social media platform X, documenting a meeting with Elon Musk’s father while in Moscow. Prior to this, he had been stopped by authorities at the Channel Tunnel in Folkestone. During that stop, he was driving a friend’s silver Bentley en route to Spain.

During the Channel Tunnel stop, Robinson declined to provide the PIN for his phone, citing that the device contained sensitive journalistic information. This refusal was highlighted by authorities during the incident
