Following the BBC Panorama investigation into the UK version of Married at First Sight (MAFS), Channel 4’s chief executive has responded to serious allegations involving the show. The Panorama report detailed claims that two women were raped, and a third experienced a non-consensual sexual act during filming.

Priya Dogra, Channel 4’s CEO, conveyed her “huge sympathy” for the women affected by these accusations. However, she refrained from commenting on the specifics of the cases, noting that the men accused have denied the allegations.

Dogra also maintained that Channel 4 had fulfilled its duty of care towards participants, stating, “based on what we knew at the time, we acted appropriately, quickly and with sensitivity.” She defended the channel’s response amid growing scrutiny over how the situation was handled.

When pressed about issuing a direct apology to those involved, Dogra declined further comment, saying, “I’ve said everything I can in the statement,” before ending the interview
