Two individuals have been formally charged with offences of religiously aggravated harassment following allegations that they created antisemitic content on the social media platform TikTok in London. The accused, Adam Bedoui, aged 20, and Abdelkader Amir Bousloub, aged 21, both from Hillingdon in west London, are said to have traveled to Stamford Hill, a neighborhood in north London known for its large Jewish community, on a Thursday evening.
According to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the charges stem from claims that the pair approached members of the Jewish community in Stamford Hill, subjecting them to harassment while recording videos intended for social media. Following the incident, three others — two men aged 20 and one man aged 21 — were released on bail pending further proceedings. Huw Rogers, chief crown prosecutor for CPS Direct, stated, “Our team of out-of-hours prosecutors from CPS Direct worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring charges and it is in the public interest to pursue criminal proceedings.” He also emphasized the close collaboration between the CPS and the Metropolitan Police in investigating the case.
The legal charges brought against Adam Bedoui and Abdelkader Amir Bousloub include religiously aggravated intentional harassment under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, as well as intentional harassment under the Public Order Act 1986. These charges reflect the serious nature of the alleged offences linked to their social media activity targeting a specific religious group
