'Violent' Barnsley fugitive captured in Skegness

A man who was on the run after committing a violent attack has been apprehended by authorities in Skegness. Dean Noble, 33, hailing from Barnsley, was arrested on Saturday for failing to report to prison to serve a nine-year sentence for assaulting three individuals. His attempt to evade capture involved posting fake updates on social media to mislead law enforcement.

Following his conviction and initial suspended jail term overturned on appeal, Noble resorted to desperate measures to avoid arrest. South Yorkshire Police discovered his whereabouts in Skegness, prompting his arrest. Detective Sergeant Rebecca Robinson emphasized that anyone who aided Noble in evading capture will be investigated thoroughly. Harbouring a fugitive is a criminal offense, and those found guilty will face legal consequences.

Despite Noble’s efforts to deceive authorities, the police utilized all available resources to track him down and bring him to justice for his violent crimes. Robinson reiterated that Noble’s violent behavior would not go unpunished as he would now face the consequences of his actions. The investigation remains ongoing, and individuals suspected of assisting Noble in evading capture will be identified and held accountable for their involvement
