In Cardiff Crown Court, two teenage boys faced charges for the murder of 38-year-old Kamran Aman after a police intervention in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, on June 30th. The youths, aged 16 and 17, hailing from Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, cannot be identified due to their underage status. This was their initial appearance in the crown court, during which they did not submit a plea and were both put in youth custody.
The next court hearing for the pair is scheduled in August at Cardiff Crown Court, where they are expected to enter their pleas. During the court session, the 17-year-old defendant, dressed in a grey sweater, responded affirmatively when asked to confirm his identity. Family members present in the courtroom were visibly distraught during the proceedings. The 16-year-old defendant, donning a black and white Nike t-shirt, appeared separately via video link.
