Beabadoobee has recently shared the valuable lesson she learned from being an opening act on Taylor Swift’s all-conquering ‘Eras Tour’. She stated that if one messes up in front of a crowd of people, it is not the end of the world and does not matter as much. “Literally, I messed up so many times on stage, and like the equivalent of messing up in front of like 50,000 people, it’s like messing up in front of 5,000. It’s like no difference at all. So, it was chill,” she explained in an interview on The Evening Show on Radio X. In her opinion, the prestigious slot has had a positive impact on her as an artist.

The artist also discussed how Swift’s epic shows influenced her songwriting style. “She actually inspired me a lot in terms of some of the songwriting on this record because I saw her live every night. I loved her little country hooks, so I tried putting that in one of the songs on the album,” Bea said of the album that is set to be released on August 9.

Swift herself seemed to have appreciated the opening act’s admiration as, when the tour kicked off, Swift played an acoustic rendition of ‘Our Song’ for Bea, after having read an interview where the latter had praised the tune.

Beabadoobee has previously released a number of singles—’Take a Bite,’ ‘Coming Home,’ ‘Ever Seen,’ and ‘Beaches’—as previews of her upcoming album. NME praised the album in a four-star review as capturing “the twists and turns of growing into yourself with relatable candour.”

She has confirmed a UK leg of her ‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves’ tour, set to take place later this year, including a gig at London’s Alexandra Palace. Additionally, Beabadoobee is to headline the BBC 1 stage at the Reading & Leeds Festival and open for Mitski at London’s All Points East festival.
