At tonight’s BRIT Awards, Sheffield band Bring Me The Horizon was named Best Alternative/Rock Act, beating out legendary acts like The Rolling Stones and Blur, among others. This marks the group’s first-ever BRIT Award, and they made sure to let their fans know how much they appreciated their support.

During their expletive-filled acceptance speech, frontman Oli Sykes couldn’t contain his excitement, holding the award and muttering under his breath, “Fucking hell,” before being reminded by his bandmate that swearing was not allowed during the broadcast. Despite the censorship, the band expressed their gratitude to their fans and called out the complicated voting system, which they attributed to only their fans being able to “be arsed” to vote.

The ceremony, which took place at The O2 in London, was hosted by a trio of presenters, Maya Jama, Clara Amfo, and Roman Kemp, and featured performances from Dua Lipa, Raye, Tate McRae, Jungle, Rema, Becky Hill and Chase & Status, Calvin Harris, and Ellie Goulding, among others. Kylie Minogue, who received the BRITs Global Icon Award, closed out the show with a performance of her own.
