We Out Here Festival has announced the latest wave of performers set to appear at the event in Dorset this August. Headlining this year’s festival are artists such as Sampha, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and André 3000, fresh off the release of his flute-led debut album ‘New Blue Sun’. More than 100 acts have now been confirmed for the four-day event, which will take place between August 15-18 at its new location in Wimborne St Giles, Dorset.
Alongside the headliners, other prominent performers include CASISDEAD, Floating Points, Kae Tempest, Loraine James, Mount Kimbie, Obongjayar, Ron Trent, and Yaya Bey. Additionally, the festival has a slew of live performances, with artists such as Nabihah Iqbal, Sainté, Moses Yoofee Trio, Ego Ella May, and Lefto Early Bird showcasing their talents with a live A/V show.
Founder and curator Gilles Peterson expressed his excitement for the festival’s fifth edition, touting the lineup as “our most wide-spanning and eclectic yet” and emphasizing the gathering of different musical genres in one place. We Out Here’s line-up brings together a diverse array of styles, including jazz, Afrobeat, garage, and R&B. DJ sets from Joy Orbison, Shanti Celeste, DJ Paulette, Djrum, Ikonika B2B Shannen SP, and LTJ Bukem will also be present at the festival.
In addition to the presenters on stage, the festival will also honor some key events throughout music history such as the 10th anniversary of London imprint Wisdom Teeth’s. Other anniversaries being recognized at the festival include First Word, Hyperdub, Tru Thoughts, and Eglo Records. We Out Here 2024 will be setting up fan favorite stages including the Rhythm Corner, Lemon Lounge, and Lush Life. Relaxation areas include the Sanctuary, and talks, on-site record store, Near Mint, tents will also be available for attendees to browse.
