Girl's death 'unexplained' after body found in Elmley Castle park

Authorities are currently treating the death of an 11-year-old girl as unexplained after her body was discovered in a park in Worcestershire. The child had been reported missing around 23:20 BST on Sunday. Police later located her in the park close to the cricket ground in Elmley Castle, near Evesham.

The family of the deceased is receiving support from officers trained specifically to assist those affected by such incidents. Elmley Castle itself is a small village with roughly 500 inhabitants, situated approximately four miles from Pershore.
