According to the report, Bankman-Fried donated £37,500 to the organisation Labour for the Long Term (LLT).
In response to these claims, a spokesperson for Wes Streeting stated that the donor list examined by his team did not feature Bankman-Fried’s name. The spokesperson went further, emphasizing that Streeting had no direct interactions with Bankman-Fried and that the individual was never brought up during any meetings involving LLT.
The Labour Party also addressed the issue, assuring that stringent due diligence procedures were conducted before accepting any donations. They affirmed that no problems were detected during these checks before the funds were received.
