Registration for 2025 “March with Pride” opens

Liverpool city region’s annual Pride March is fast approaching, scheduled for Saturday, July 26th. The LCR Pride Foundation has officially opened registrations for the “March with Pride” event. LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, organizations, and community groups are encouraged to participate in standing against the increasing hate, discrimination, and prejudice towards LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities. The goal is to unite more than 20,000 people in both celebration and protest.

The proposed route will commence at St. George’s Hall Plateau at 12 pm, weaving through the city center before culminating at the Pier Head. Amanda Hilton, Chair of the Board of Directors for LCR Pride Foundation, emphasized the event’s roots in grassroots activism and protest. Highlighting current global challenges faced by LGBTQ+ communities, she stressed the importance of coming together in solidarity.

Acknowledging the financial requirements of the march, organizers express the need for donations to cover the £10,000 cost of the event. Businesses, charities, and public sector organizations are encouraged to contribute through registration charges and sponsorships. Individuals who wish to support the cause can make donations or participate in fundraising activities. Amanda stressed the significance of these contributions in ensuring the successful execution of the march.
