Shopkeeper tracks down mum stealing Jellycat toys to sell on Vinted


A garden centre owner in Dorset, UK, has tracked down a shoplifter by scouring online resale websites and discovering the woman’s Facebook profile. Charlie Groves discovered goods stolen from his business were being sold online, and used CCTV recordings and a personalised number plate to trace the woman. The suspect had been caught on CCTV concealing Jellycat toys under her child’s pram before leaving the store, and Mr Groves eventually found the husband of a Vinted account user selling on the stolen goods. The National Police Chiefs Council has urged caution among online shoppers and said suspiciously cheap goods should encourage scrutiny
