One of Australia’s most beloved rock bands, Jet, has announced they will be joining forces with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) for a special one-off concert. The quartet will be performing at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, on November 8, under the guidance of conductor Nicholas Buc. The band will perform orchestral versions of their greatest hits, including ‘Rollover DJ’, ‘Cold Hard Bitch’, ‘Look What You’ve Done’, ‘Get Me Outta Here’, and ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’.
Commenting on the upcoming collaboration, Nic Cester, the band’s frontman said: “We are all very excited to work with the MSO to add another musical dimension to our catalogue. The opportunity to elevate the live experience was one we just couldn’t pass up. We’re going to rock the Bowl like never before!!”
Tickets are now available for purchase through Ticketek, with general admission passes priced at $80, while remaining seated tickets cost $130, $140, and $150. Two VIP packages are also available.
The concert comes amid Jet’s celebrations of the 20th anniversary of their debut album, ‘Get Born’. They have already completed a tour of Australia in support of this milestone and are set to tour Europe, the UK, and the United States in October.
In a recent Instagram post, the band stated that they are currently working on their fourth album, which is due to be released in 2025. It will be their first album release since 2009’s ‘Shaka Rock
