£25.49Fans have noted similarities between Chappell Roan’s merchandise and that of the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign. Harris and her running mate recently debuted a cap in hunting camouflage colours, with “Harris” and “Walz” displayed in bold lettering. Fans of Roan were quick to notice the similarity with a merch item sold alongside her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, released in 2023.
Roan, thrilled by the comparison, posted her reaction on X when the news broke: “Is this real?” Fans shared their excitement over the unexpected crossover, with some tweeting: “Not the US government coming for your brand!?” Others mentioned that “Walz is a Midwest princess too lol”.
Celebrities in the music industry, including Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, and Beyoncé, have thrown their support behind Harris and her campaign since Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race last month. Artists such as Bon Iver and Megan Thee Stallion have also endorsed Harris during her rallies.
Roan has been making waves as well and decided to celebrate the first anniversary of her debut album with a run of limited-edition vinyl pressings. The album, on track to hit #1 in the UK, features Roan’s bold and brazen pen, combining searing revelations with deliciously cheeky choruses. The singer has been busy playing at Lollapalooza, and achievements this year include among the festival’s best-attended performances in history.
In March, Roan announced a tour of the UK and Europe later this year, with performances in Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam. She’ll then move on to the UK and Ireland before catching a series of American shows to round out 2024. Tickets to her shows can be found on Ticketmaster
