Justin Bieber reportedly received a whopping $10 million to perform at a pre-wedding party for the son of Mukesh Ambani, the richest man in Asia. Ambani, who chairs Reliance Industries and has a net worth of over $120 billion, spared no expense on his son Anant’s wedding to Radhika Merchant, which took place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India.

The star-studded event saw Bieber sing through a selection of his biggest hits, like “Baby,” “Sorry,” and “What Do You Mean.” The show gained widespread attention, with several videos of Bieber’s performance circulating online, including one clip that shows him performing an acoustic version of “Love Yourself.”

Bieber has been relatively out of the spotlight in recent years due to his battles with anxiety. He canceled the remaining shows of his “Justice” tour in 2022 after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which resulted in partial facial paralysis. He also turned down an offer to perform during Usher’s Super Bowl show this year, stating that he “wasn’t feeling it.”

Despite his break from public performances, Bieber made a surprise appearance at Coachella 2024, where he performed with Wizkid and Tems. He also played a private show in February at a private NHL All-Star party and led the tributes to his close friend and rapper Chris King, who was reportedly shot dead at age 32 in April.

Bieber’s performance at the Ambani-Merchant wedding is the latest in a string of exclusive events put on for the wealthy couple. In March, Rihanna played a set at their pre-wedding celebration, her first full-length performance in over six years
