MarcelDune has just released his latest EP, entitled ‘Sunday People’, on the HAVEN label. This immersive record is made up of four tracks that are influenced by post-punk, new wave, experimental electronic, and techno music. The EP is intended to offer a club feel that is still accessible for listening on a walk or after-party.
MarcelDune is described as being born in Athens but now based in London. When asked about the project, he stated that he had decided to incorporate a more eclectic vibe into his music with this release. He’s very pleased to have this EP on HAVEN and worked alongside New Frames on his remix duties.
The opening track of the EP, “I Am Looking For Date Ideas,” starts at full throttle with its hardcore kicks paired with chugging synths common to a roaring groove. ‘Final Loose’ follows, which comprises addictive vocal hooks and energizing drum patterns. A-side closer “The Scene” then pummels the listener with rolling basslines. Finally, the track “Independence Creating Distance” melds revolving vocals with racing drum patterns, while New Frames’ remix adds dubbed-out synth work to the already established heavy drums.
The EP is intended for “Sunday People,” those who look to escape from societal norms and celebrate the freedom of life before the start of another work week. ‘Sunday People’ by MarcelDune is currently available, and interested individuals should visit here to check it out
