Lord Apex releases new single ‘Pheonix’ featuring Freddie Gibbs

West London rapper, Lord Apex, has released a new single titled ‘Phoenix’ featuring American rapper, Freddie Gibbs. The track is the third single released from his upcoming studio album ‘The Good Fight’, which is set to launch in November. The mellow song has touching lyrics centered on regret and change. The song pays homage to Apex’s cross-cultural experience and how it has helped shape his worldview and mentality.

Lord Apex explains that the song was created because he felt like he was rising out of the ashes of a volcano due to all the challenges he had overcome while finishing the album. Produced by Argov, ‘Phoenix’ is a stellar addition to Apex’s upcoming album and marks the third release from the project. The two previous singles are titled ‘Smokers Lounge’ featuring US emo rap artist BONES and ‘Blessings’.

Alongside p-rallel, Finn Foxell, and Louis Culture, Lord Apex is a member of the music collective Elevation/Meditation. Freddie Gibbs, on the other hand, has a new album ‘The Good Fight’ due to drop on November 10, and this collaboration with Lord Apex has given fans a glimpse of what to expect. His last project, ‘$oul $old $seperately,’ was released a year ago and featured prominent artists such as Rick Ross, Kaytranada, and Anderson .Paak.

Lord Apex’s new album appears promising and should be a hit with rap enthusiasts. Fans can get a taste of the new album and listen to ‘Phoenix’ featuring Freddie Gibbs below.
