Logic1000 announces debut album due next spring, ‘Mother’

Logic1000, a Sydney-born DJ and producer based in Berlin, has announced the release of her debut album titled ‘Mother’ scheduled to drop on March 22. The album is co-produced by her longtime collaborator Tom McAlister, also known as Cop Envy. Logic1000 says the album is her love letter to house music as it combines different sub-genres like noughties R&B with a modern take on house music to produce a unique album. The album also takes an in-depth look into her mental health struggles and motherhood.

In an interview, Logic1000 said he thought she could never create anything so potent when she became a mother. She said, “I felt so much love and inspiration entering into motherhood that I just needed to create,” adding that her recent journey into motherhood also influenced the album. Logic1000 described the album as a “release, therapy” because of the way it delves into her own personal struggles with mental health.

The announcement came with the release of her second single from the album, ‘Self To Blame’, a garage-inspired track featuring singer-songwriter Kayla Blackmon. Logic1000 is known for her day raves events in Berlin under her Therapy outlet. She explains that these parties are for everyone and aimed at providing an opportunity for sober people and parents to have fun in a safe and sociable environment.

The album is currently available for pre-order on the Therapy and Because Music website. Logic1000 has described the album as the most significant project she has ever worked on. The 12-track album contains collaborations with Kayla Blackmon, DJ Plead, Rochelle Jordan, and MJ Nebrada, among others
