The release of a new compilation titled “From Manchester to Palestine: A Compilation of Music and Poetry” is aimed at raising funds for those affected by the Gaza crisis. The project has been called an “urgent show of solidarity from creatives in the city”, with a temporary release window of one month only from November 1 to December 1. The compilation consists of 90 tracks featuring work from Manchester-based poets, creatives, as well as music stars such as Chimpo and Mr. Scruff.
Deadly Israeli air strikes and rocket fire from the Gaza strip plagued the region earlier this year, highlighting the dire situation for those living within the strip. All proceeds raised from the album will be sent to the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) and Restless Beings.
