Bored Lord announces debut album ‘Name It’ on T4T LUV NRG

Bored Lord, the Oakland-based DJ and producer, is set to release her debut album ‘Name It’ on November 3 under Eris Drew and Octo Octa’s label T4T LUV NRG. The eight-track album explores love beyond the confines of traditional two-person relationships and encompasses a diverse range of genres including broken beat, drum n’ bass, jungle, UK bass, Florida breaks and house. Bored Lord, whose real name is Daria, aims to challenge everyone to “name it” and make industry insiders confused while ravers understand the moment they press play.

The lead single from the album, ‘Feel It’, was recently released. Bored Lord has compared her debut album to her past works, noting it to be heavier emotionally and a lot less referential. The upcoming album is to be available on double-disc vinyl, and Bored Lord expressed excitement and nerves over the release, adding, “I’m nervous about it!”.

Bored Lord has been open about her close relationship with T4T LUV NRG and Drew and Octa, saying the connection is special and that she can trust them to listen to her artistic input. Despite the visibility that comes with working with T4T LUV NRG, Bored Lord notes that the label remains “super DIY” with a small team handling bookings and PR work.

Listeners can pre-order ‘Name It’ on Bored Lord’s Bandcamp page and are encouraged to listen to the lead single ‘Feel It’ before the album’s release. With a fresh perspective on love and an array of unique genres, ‘Name It’ promises to be a promising debut from Bored Lord.
