UK garage and bass producer Flava D has teamed up with vocalist Paige Eliza to release their latest single ‘Miss Dopamine’ under Jaguar’s UTOPIA label. The track is aimed at “girls who fall in love with girls” and showcases Eliza’s vocals with Flava D’s bass and wobbly hooks. Eliza has worked with several UK bass and garage legends previously, such as Sammy Virji, Oppidan, and MPH. The two will be performing together at Manchester’s Warehouse Project on 10 November.
Flava D is known for her sound that shifts between UKG, grime, bassline and drum ‘n’ bass, and has previously released across multiple records such as Hospital Records, Butterz, and Local Action. Jaguar is the curator and founder of the UTOPIA label, which is both a club night and a podcast. Since the label’s inception in 2020, it has brought numerous inclusive, vibrant, and queer parties to venues such as Venue MOT, Unit 58, and Night Tales.
Describing UTOPIA’s operations as a “world I am creating, so that we can all live here, dance around to sick music and lift each other up,” Jaguar expressed her excitement over the label’s newest release. “Each release is completely different, but they are all fun club-tracks with a twinkle in their eye,” she said. Fans can buy ‘Miss Dopamine’ directly from UTOPIA’s Bandcamp now.
