Liam Gallagher has confirmed that he will be performing Oasis’s iconic debut album, Definitely Maybe in its entirety during a series of shows in 2024. Gallagher said that he wouldn’t be where he is today without the album and is excited to celebrate its significance with fans.
Definitely Maybe, which was released in August 1994, catapulted Oasis to fame and sold millions of copies worldwide. Gallagher’s announcement of the tour, which will visit Sheffield, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Dublin, put an end to fans’ speculation that the band would reunite to mark the album’s 30th anniversary.
Gallagher’s Knebworth shows in 2022 and his brother Noel’s recent gigs, including a homecoming performance at Wythenshawe Park, led fans to hope for a reunion. Noel had earlier said that he would “never say never” to an Oasis reunion.
This will be the first time Gallagher has performed Definitely Maybe in full, and the setlist will feature fan favorites such as Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, Live Forever, Supersonic, and Cigarettes & Alcohol, alongside album tracks that have rarely been played since the mid-’90s.
Tickets for the shows go on sale on Friday. The announcement has left fans of the band excited about the possibility of reliving nostalgic memories from the ’90s, and Gallagher is looking forward to celebrating the legacy of Oasis with them
