The successful collaboration between I. JORDAN and Planningtorock has resulted in their new double single ‘TNB’, out today on record label Ninja Tune. The project explores themes of identity, trans joy, and celebrates love for the club. The Day version was created during a jam in Abbey Road, following their connection online after the release of Jordan’s breakout EP. Six months later, the Night version was released, providing listeners with a high energy love letter to the club scene.
The collaboration is described by Planningtorock, also known as Jam Rostron, as a “magical coming together”, reflecting on their transitional journeys during the creative process. The artwork for ‘TNB’, created by Morgan Hislop, reflects on the parallel moments in time that collided during this time. The Doncaster-born I. JORDAN has seen a soaring rise over the past few years, with tours in Australia and Asia, a night curated at Glastonbury 2023 with SHERELLE and remixes for artists such as Romy and Eliza Rose.
