Heidi Klum’s Halloween costume revealed as Traitors’ Maya Jama dresses as Mo Farah

Supermodel and television presenter Heidi Klum once again demonstrated why she is considered the ultimate Halloween icon by making a spectacular entrance at her annual costume party in New York. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of her widely anticipated Halloween bash, Klum appeared as a massive, bloodied severed left hand—a concept she personally described as her own dismembered limb. The elaborate costume left her virtually unrecognisable, a transformation that took the assistance of up to 20 people to complete.

Klum recounted the creative process behind her unusual look, explaining to reporters on the red carpet, “I looked at my hand and I thought ‘Hey, I think that I can fit my body inside of this somehow.'” She added, “I always try to come up with something unusual and I don’t think I’ve seen an actual person walking around like a hand. I thought that was something new and different.” Known for her imaginative Halloween costumes in previous years—ranging from a worm to Medusa and Princess Fiona from Shrek—Klum continues to push boundaries in her annual celebrations.

The star-studded party featured other guests in distinctive costumes as well. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka made a memorable appearance as the eerie twins from the film The Shining, while pop singer Jade Thirlwall transformed into a stone angel statue. Actor Tramell Tillman impressed with intricate prosthetics that gave him an almost otherworldly look, complete with fake ears and forehead tufts. These creative ensembles helped set the mood for a night full of revelry and elaborate dress-up.

Across the Atlantic in London, broadcaster Maya Jama took a different but equally striking approach at her own Halloween event. Jama chose to honor the British Olympian Sir Mo Farah by dressing as the four-time Olympic champion. She revealed to Elle UK magazine that she had long wanted to dress as a man for Halloween and that Farah himself celebrated the tribute. “He’s actually sent me all of his real life Olympic outfits, his real, actual medals he won for the Olympics,” she shared. “His real trainers. He’s even done some TikToks for me. He is fully on board.” Jama’s spirited homage was one of the highlights of the night, alongside other attendees such as Katherine Ryan, who recreated one of Jama’s well-known looks from the show Traitors
