Andrew takes legal action on search warrants during his arrest

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has initiated legal proceedings against Thames Valley Police concerning his arrest that took place in February. The former Prince Andrew was detained on suspicion of misconduct in public office following revelations from the Epstein files originating in the United States.

According to reports first published by the Telegraph, Mountbatten-Windsor’s legal team is contesting the validity of the search warrants executed at Sandringham and Royal Lodge in Windsor during the course of his arrest. Thames Valley Police have acknowledged their involvement in ongoing legal proceedings related to warrants previously authorized by the Central Criminal Court. A spokesperson for the police force stated, “As these legal proceedings are currently ongoing, it would be inappropriate for us to comment further.”

After losing his titles as a prince and Duke of York due to his connections with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Mountbatten-Windsor is said to have filed for a judicial review to challenge the legality of the search warrants used in the investigation. Police were seen conducting extensive searches over several days at his Marsh Farm property in Sandringham as well as at his former residence, Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate.

The arrest, which coincided with his 66th birthday, led to Mountbatten-Windsor being taken to Aylsham police station. A photograph taken later the same day showed him leaving the station appearing weary after being released under investigation. Thames Valley Police have confirmed that their inquiry remains active.
