DJ and producer Call Super has announced his fourth studio album, ‘Eulo Cramps,’ which will be released on the label he co-runs with Parris, ‘Can You Feel the Sun,’ next month. The nine-track record explores themes of selfhood, light, loss, and growth through a river of reflections on the present. The album features collaborations on several tracks, a departure from Call Super’s previous work.
The song ‘Goldwood’ features the glitched poetry of Elke Wardlaw, the DJ and producer’s long-time neighbor. The track’s intermittent piano chords and machines accompany Wardlaw’s words and emphasize the LP’s recurring themes of the forest. Its tone is more withdrawn than its counterparts, ‘Illumina’ and ‘Sapling,’ which were released earlier in the year and feature Julia Holter and Eden Samara’s vocals, respectively.
Call Super has continued to push boundaries, with a non-stop summer of performances at Glastonbury, Houghton, Love International, and a recent set at Draaimolen with Pariah. He will end the year with a solo exhibition at St. Mary’s Church in Belgravia, featuring his paintings, artwork, and accompanying poetry. ‘Eulo Cramps’ is available for pre-order on vinyl and digitally through Can You Feel the Sun’s Bandcamp page.
The tracklist for ‘Eulo Cramps’ includes:
1. Ondo Helps Us Hear The Splinters
2. Fly Black Stork
3. Sapling with Eden Samara
4. Illumina with Julia Holter
5. Glossy Bingo Stain
6. Coppertone Elegy
7. Goldwold with Elke Wardlaw
8. Clam Lute Wig
9. Years In The Hospital.
Call Super continues to cement his place as a trailblazer in the electronic music scene with his fourth studio album
