From 2028 onwards, the Liverpool Experience Campus will serve as the new venue for UKREiiF, recognized as the largest real estate, investment, and infrastructure event in the UK. This achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of partners throughout the Liverpool city region, establishing a foundational platform aimed at fostering investment, regeneration, and economic growth. The event’s move highlights Liverpool’s ambition to play a pivotal role in the nation’s built environment sector.
Since its inception in 2022, UKREiiF has witnessed rapid expansion, attracting over 17,000 delegates annually. The forum has been instrumental in facilitating discussions that have led to investment opportunities exceeding £4 billion across the UK. Attendees include a broad spectrum of stakeholders, such as investors, developers, local government officials, government representatives, occupiers, and various professionals within the built environment sector. The relocation to Liverpool Experience Campus offers an ideal setting, combining top-tier indoor facilities with extensive outdoor waterfront spaces, providing the flexibility and scale required to accommodate the event’s ongoing growth.
The bid to bring UKREiiF to Liverpool was spearheaded by a partnership including Liverpool Experience Campus, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Liverpool City Council, and Liverpool BID Company. Liverpool City Council Leader, Cllr Liam Robinson, expressed pride in hosting the event, emphasizing its importance as the UK’s leading regeneration forum. He stated, “Moving to Liverpool will help it become even bigger and better, helping to deliver growth in every postcode and mobilising billions in private sector investment.” Robinson also highlighted the advantage of hosting such a globally significant event in Liverpool, where delegates can directly experience the opportunities throughout the city region.
Echoing this sentiment, Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, described the move as a significant win and a clear endorsement of the region’s development efforts. He noted the importance of showcasing Liverpool’s ambition and potential to thousands of influential investors and developers. Rotheram also extended gratitude to Leeds and West Yorkshire for their excellent stewardship of the event thus far, promising to build on their foundation and to embed UKREiiF into Liverpool’s fabric, much like how the Labour Party Conference has become an integral part of the city. Other local leaders involved in the initiative, such as Helen Roberts from Liverpool Hospitality and Faye Dyer, Chief Executive of Liverpool Experience Campus, expressed enthusiasm about the economic benefits and the platform the event provides to highlight Liverpool’s dynamic regeneration and investment landscape. Nathan Spencer, Managing Director of UKREiiF, reflected on the event’s origins and praised the collaborative spirit of Liverpool’s stakeholders, anticipating strong future growth rooted in this new partnership. Details regarding the 2028 programme will be shared in due course
