The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have expressed serious concerns over what they describe as “extraordinary recklessness” by an international photographer who was seen investigating the grounds of the school attended by their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Two individuals carrying backpacks were noticed circling the perimeter of the school, and police later confirmed that one of them was a photographer working for a European press agency. A spokesperson representing Prince Harry and Meghan condemned the behavior, labeling it as an “unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children.”
According to reports, the two men were observed on a Monday morning by private security personnel as well as school staff. They paused multiple times to peer into the school grounds before returning to a rental van, which police identified. Representatives for Harry and Meghan stressed that there is a significant difference between legitimate media reporting and the act of photographers walking around a school’s edge, scrutinizing children during their daily routines. They added, “Whatever photographs they may have been seeking, this was not only an unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children; it was an irresponsible and ill-considered way to conduct themselves in the vicinity of a school.”
