A National Lottery operator, Allwyn, has confirmed that a player from the UK has won the EuroMillions jackpot of £111 million in the draw held on Friday. This mystery ticket matched all five main numbers—11, 12, 15, 38, and 49—along with the two Lucky Star numbers, 10 and 12, securing the substantial prize.
Andy Carter, Allwyn’s senior winners’ adviser, described the win as “fantastic news for a UK EuroMillions player,” noting that the prize amount is truly “life-changing.” This victory marks the third occasion this year that the EuroMillions jackpot has been claimed by someone in the UK.
Earlier in 2023, on 10 March, a single UK winner took home a £181 million jackpot, which ranks as the third-largest in the history of the UK National Lottery. Additionally, in April, two UK players shared a £125 million jackpot with a winner from France. Carter encouraged players to verify their tickets promptly, saying, “Be sure to check your tickets and get in touch if you think you might be tonight’s lucky winner.”
The highest amount ever won by a UK EuroMillions player remains £195 million, secured by an anonymous individual in 2022. EuroMillions draws take place twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday evenings, and are organized across nine European countries.
