Authorities have charged two adults and a teenager with attempted murder following an incident involving a shotgun being discharged in a town centre. The event occurred in Market Place, Braintree, Essex, at approximately 22:10 BST on Monday. Police described the occurrence as a “targeted attack.”
During the incident, two teenagers suffered significant injuries to their faces and upper bodies, with an additional individual also sustaining injuries. The suspects include Destiny Ema, aged 23, residing on Meadgate Avenue, Chelmsford; Kayden Brown, 18, from Noaks Avenue, Chelmsford; and a 17-year-old from Braintree whose identity remains confidential due to legal restrictions. All three are scheduled to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
In relation to the same case, a 16-year-old boy who had been arrested has since been released on police bail, which is set to last until 30 November. Destiny Ema faces multiple charges beyond the attempted murder, tied to separate investigations. These charges encompass attempted grievous bodily harm with intent; possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence; possession of a firearm during the commission of an indictable offence; possession of a firearm while being prohibited for life; harassment; malicious communications; and possession of a shotgun with the intent to cause fear of violence
