Nigel Farage has alleged that Sky News reporters visited his daughter’s residence while he was abroad. However, Sky News maintains that they did not engage with Farage’s daughter. Upon his return to the UK, Farage was confronted by Sky News reporters about the undeclared gift. He responded sharply, warning, “You tell your bosses, you harass my family any more, there will be serious consequences, that’s what your organisation has done this morning, now go away.” When questioned again, he reiterated, “Did you not hear me? You have broken all the rules, Leveson and everything else, cut.”
Sky News addressed the situation in a post on social media platform X, clarifying their reporting actions and timeline. They stated they were not at the property at 7:41 am but arrived later at 10:19 am outside the residence where Farage was registered to vote during the previous election. The broadcaster said they identified themselves as Sky News during a single, camera-free visit and that the adult occupant declined to engage. Sky News insisted that their approach was routine journalistic practice related to matters of public interest and denied claims of harassing or pursuing Farage’s daughter. They also stressed that their efforts were solely to contact Farage regarding the gift. Meanwhile, the BBC has sought comment from Sky News about the incident.
