Prince Archie, aged seven, and Princess Lilibet, who is five, are set to begin attending a school in the United Kingdom this coming September. This decision marks a return to the British education system for the Sussex couple’s children.

King Charles was informed about this upcoming change on Sunday. Despite this development, there are no plans for Prince Harry or Meghan Markle to take up official royal duties again. The couple continues to maintain their status away from the working royal roles.

The Sussexes made their departure from the UK and stepped back from their official responsibilities in early 2020, ultimately establishing their residence in California by March of the same year. Their most recent visit to Britain took place in July, when they met with King Charles and Queen Camilla. This gathering was regarded as a significant moment in the progress of their family relationships.

According to the Palace, the encounter was a “private family occasion” held at the King’s residence in Gloucestershire. This was the first opportunity for King Charles to see his grandchildren face-to-face in over four years. It also marked the couple’s first joint visit to the United Kingdom since 2022
