Strictly dancers Ola and James Jordan separate after 23 years of marriage

James and Ola Jordan, both former professional dancers known for their appearances on Strictly Come Dancing, have announced their separation after more than two decades of marriage. The pair, who became familiar faces on the popular dance show starting in 2006, have decided to part ways following a trial separation that began some time ago.

According to a statement from their manager, Vickie White, the couple remain focused on co-parenting their daughter, Ella, prioritizing her well-being throughout this challenging period. White expressed gratitude for the public’s understanding as James and Ola navigate the complexities of their current situation.

Ola Jordan’s dance career began with notable success when she claimed the Open Polish Championship title at age 17 in 1999. Shortly after forming a dance partnership with James in March 2000, Ola relocated to England, and the couple married in October 2003. Their professional careers on Strictly saw James participating from 2006 until 2013, while Ola continued on the show until 2015.

On Strictly Come Dancing, Ola partnered with celebrities such as wildlife presenter Steve Backshall and Welsh sprinter Iwan Thomas. James, meanwhile, danced alongside former gymnast and broadcaster Gabby Logan, as well as The One Show host Alex Jones.
