A man has been presented in court facing charges related to a fatal crash that claimed the lives of four individuals. James Diggle, aged 27, from Alundale Road in West Derby, Liverpool, is accused of four counts of aiding and abetting causing death by dangerous driving.
The incident occurred shortly before 2:00 AM BST on 24 July, when a black Seat Cupra Formentor crashed into a lamp-post on Liverpool Road in Huyton. The collision resulted in the deaths of four men: Jack Diggle, 23; Benjamin Dooley, 23; Andrew Roberts, 24; and Craig Shackleton-Brady, 26.
During the court appearance, James Diggle chose not to enter a plea. Following this, he was remanded in custody. His next scheduled court hearing is set for 7 September at Liverpool Crown Court.
