The organisation has unveiled a new uniform collection that blends its traditional roots with fresh, contemporary colours and patterns. This updated range consists of 30 clothing items, 15 accessories, and neckerchiefs, with prices beginning at £12 for a T-shirt.
Innovative details in the designs include concealed pockets within waistbands, thumb holes, and badge sashes that can also be worn as cross-body bags. This rollout marks the first comprehensive update to the Girlguiding uniform in three decades.
According to Oswald, the new collection aims to offer girls the opportunity to express themselves freely while staying connected to the spirit of the organisation. Members aren’t required to purchase the new attire immediately and may continue wearing their current uniforms until they need replacements, as stated on the official website.
Research conducted in June involving 2,000 girls aged six to sixteen across the UK revealed that 93% felt most comfortable when allowed to style themselves.
