Authorities have charged a man in connection with an explosive device found inside a car in the Republic of Ireland. The discovery occurred after a vehicle was stopped on the N2 road near Carrickmacross during an operation focused on suspected dissident republican activities.
The individual, who is in his 40s, is scheduled to make an appearance before a special session at the Criminal Courts of Justice on Saturday evening. This follows the investigation linked to the vehicle and the bomb.
Additionally, a 25-year-old woman was also charged on Friday in relation to the same case. Both charges stem from the same incident involving the bomb found in the stopped vehicle.
