Sean McCann, the younger sibling of Madeleine McCann, is set to represent Scotland in swimming at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this Saturday. At 21 years old and currently studying at Loughborough University, he is slated to compete in the 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyle races, marking his first appearance at a major international competition.
The initial heats for the 400m freestyle event are scheduled to take place on Saturday morning at the Tollcross Swimming Centre. Reflecting on his journey, he noted, “I was there in 2014 [at the Commonwealth Games], watching as a kid, so to make it now, 12 years later, is really a full-circle moment.”

Madeleine’s disappearance has become one of the most widely publicized missing-person cases in the world and continues to be an ongoing investigation by the Metropolitan Police
