Tom Stoltman, renowned for winning the World’s Strongest Man title three times, has been confirmed as a new addition to the popular BBC show Gladiators. The 32-year-old athlete, standing at an impressive 6 feet 8 inches (203 cm), hails from Invergordon in the Scottish Highlands. Notably, he made history in 2021 by becoming the first Scottish competitor to claim the prestigious World’s Strongest Man crown.
The fourth installment of Gladiators is scheduled to begin filming next month in Sheffield. Following production, the series will be available to viewers on BBC iPlayer and BBC One starting in 2027. Although Stoltman’s Gladiator moniker has not yet been revealed, fans are eagerly anticipating his appearance on the show.
Stoltman successfully defended his World’s Strongest Man title in 2022 before securing the championship for a third time in 2024. Alongside these achievements, he maintains the title of Britain’s Strongest Man, which he earned for a fourth occasion in February after outperforming competitors Adam Bishop and Paddy Haynes.
Despite his recent victories, Stoltman faced difficulties during the qualifying rounds of the 2026 World’s Strongest Man competition due to a hand injury, which ultimately prevented him from advancing further in the contest
