In the Glenariffe area near Ballymena, a fatal single-vehicle accident has resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The victims, identified as a 41-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, were declared deceased at the scene of the crash.
The police were alerted to the incident shortly before 9:10 p.m. BST on Saturday, following reports of a collision involving a silver Ford Transit Custom van. Authorities responded quickly to the scene to investigate and manage the situation.
Thankfully, no other injuries have been reported in connection with the crash. The Glenariffe Road, which had been temporarily closed to allow for emergency services to operate safely, has since been reopened to traffic.
Law enforcement officials have called on anyone who witnessed the accident or who may have relevant information to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation
