However, at present, no evidence has been found that would justify charging anyone in connection with the alleged threat.
Commander Flanagan acknowledged that the situation might still cause concern, especially among members of the Muslim community, but she emphasized that investigations are ongoing. She also expressed gratitude towards the event organisers and local residents for their cooperation and understanding throughout the inquiry.
The event in question began on Friday, 10 July, and was supposed to conclude on Sunday afternoon. Nevertheless, it was prematurely ended at 07:00 BST on Sunday after law enforcement informed the organisers of a credible threat during the early hours. Security measures included deployment of armed officers, road closures, and assistance with evacuating approximately 15,000 attendees who had traveled from various parts of the world.
