Man due in court charged with attempted murder after car hit pedestrians

A vehicle struck multiple pedestrians on a busy road in west London on Saturday, leading to a man being charged with attempted murder. The individual involved, Timir Ahmed Mohamed, aged 34, faces five counts of attempted murder in addition to charges including dangerous driving, failing to stop, refusal to provide a breath sample, and criminal damage, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Born in Somalia, Mohamed has been remanded in custody and is set to appear before Willesden Magistrates’ Court later. Although counter-terrorism officers initially investigated the event, authorities have confirmed that it is not being treated as a terrorist incident.

Following the collision at Ealing Broadway, three people were hospitalized while two others received treatment at the scene. The Metropolitan Police have reported that none of the injuries sustained were life-threatening or expected to cause permanent damage.
