Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he is now in remission from prostate cancer, shortly after disclosing that he had been living with the illness. In the latest episode of his show, Clarkson’s Farm, he shared that he received a diagnosis of an aggressive form of prostate cancer in 2025.
In a recent interview with The Times, the television presenter confirmed that follow-up tests conducted two months ago found no evidence of cancer, meaning he is officially in remission. Reflecting on his experience, Clarkson described himself as “without a doubt, officially, the world’s luckiest man.” He emphasized the severity of his diagnosis, noting that the cancer could have spread to vital organs such as the pancreas, which would have posed serious complications.
Over the weekend, Clarkson posted a video on the social media account for his pub, The Farmer’s Dog, addressing his health status. “You will have noticed that I’m not dead,” he said, attributing his recovery to early detection through testing. Encouraging others to undergo screening, Clarkson highlighted the statistics, urging people not to become one of the “12,000 men who die every year in the UK from prostate cancer.”
The 66-year-old shared that he continues to have regular blood tests to monitor his condition. He acknowledged the risk of recurrence, stating there is a 40% chance the cancer could return but expressed optimism, saying, “I’ve decided to be one of the 60% who doesn’t have a recurrence.” Earlier in the season of Clarkson’s Farm, he spoke about his diagnosis and treatment, which involved the surgical removal of part of his prostate. The episode concluded with Clarkson in a hospital bed, telling viewers, “If this is all successful, I’ll see you for season six, and if it isn’t, I won’t. Take care everyone.”
Clarkson’s diagnosis came following a routine medical checkup in May 2025. He urged people to get checked, emphasizing that the process is neither uncomfortable nor undignified and calling it “a no-brainer.” Clarkson also mentioned having met with former Prime Minister Lord David Cameron and restaurant critic Giles Coren, both of whom have faced prostate cancer, to discuss their experiences. His health journey was a prominent theme throughout the fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm, where he began and ended the season in hospital beds. Prior to the cancer diagnosis, Clarkson had undergone a heart procedure in October 2024 to have two stents fitted, reducing the risk of a potentially fatal heart attack
