Man charged with allegedly threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

A man has been formally charged following an incident in which Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was allegedly threatened near his residence on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The event prompted a police response after reports of threatening behavior in the village of Wolferton.

Norfolk Police confirmed that a suspect was arrested shortly after 7:30 pm on Wednesday evening. The arrest came after officers received a complaint regarding a man exhibiting intimidating conduct. Reports indicate that Mountbatten-Windsor was confronted by a person wearing a balaclava while walking his dogs and that he quickly retreated to his vehicle along with his security detail.

The individual charged is Alex Jenkinson, 39, from Stowmarket in Suffolk. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Friday. According to the police, Jenkinson faces two charges: using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behavior to harass or cause distress, and failing to provide a blood specimen while in custody.

This encounter took place close to Marsh Farm, a property on the Sandringham Estate where Mountbatten-Windsor relocated following his departure from Royal Lodge in Windsor. The move occurred amid his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
