Officials are currently conducting an investigation after a man reportedly fell multiple floors inside a building in Birmingham city centre, sustaining serious injuries. The incident took place at the Henman & Cooper venue on Colmore Row, where emergency services responded promptly on Sunday evening.
West Midlands Police confirmed their presence at the scene alongside other emergency personnel as they work to determine exactly what happened. The injured individual has been transported to hospital for urgent medical attention. Following the incident, officers secured the Henman & Cooper building, restricting access while the inquiry continues.
The venue shared a message on their Facebook page explaining that, due to “unforeseen circumstances,” they would not be open for the evening and issued an apology to their patrons. Prior to the event’s abrupt closure, Henman & Cooper had promoted a gathering beginning at 16:00 BST featuring a lineup of the city’s top DJs, promising continuous House, Garage, and Disco music throughout the day and night.
