Influencer dies after being hit by car outside Soho nightclub

A tragic event unfolded in central London when social media influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska succumbed to injuries sustained in a collision involving a car and several pedestrians outside a nightclub. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of 19 April on Argyll Street, Soho, near Oxford Circus. Despite receiving hospital treatment, Zakrzewska passed away six days later.

Klaudia Zakrzewska, originally from Essex, was just 32 years old. Following the accident, Gabrielle Carrington, aged 29 and from Manchester, was initially charged with attempted murder. However, after Zakrzewska’s death, the Metropolitan Police revised the charge to murder. In addition to Zakrzewska’s fatal injuries, a 58-year-old man was left with life-altering injuries, while another woman sustained a minor wrist injury. Carrington faces multiple charges including grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drink driving. She appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 21 April and was remanded in custody, with a subsequent court hearing scheduled for 19 May at the Old Bailey.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell conveyed condolences to Zakrzewska’s loved ones, describing the situation as profoundly tragic. She also urged the public to avoid spreading speculation about the case, despite the significant attention it has attracted on social media. Meanwhile, a fundraiser created in honor of Zakrzewska reflected the deep love felt by her family, highlighting the close bond she shared with her mother
